Here are the nominees for Week #10 Performer of the Week. One of these will emerge as our winner, just like Chet McClure of GCMS wrestling did last week. All of these nominations will be in our prelim round which runs from 8-4 on Thursday. The toip three will then compete for the titl from 4 on Thursday to NOON on Friday. The winner will receive a framed certificate while the winning school receives a check for $100 for the PE department.
1. Kalla Gold—Eureka HS Girls BB-Named 2nd team All-State in Class 2A
2. LeRoy Lady Panthers Basketball for winning the Sectional and Super Sectional games to advance to the Class 1A state championship games (a first in school history).
3. LeRoy Panther Wrestling for sending 8 wrestlers to the individual state wrestling meet and getting 5 out of 8 medals (one 2nd place, one 3rd place, one 4th place and two 6th place).
4. Luke Clapp and Doug Findley Tri-County HS Luke had 24 points on 6-9 Three point shooting adding 6 assists and Doug Findley scored 20 points on 4-7 3 point shooting adding 8 rebounds in an upset win Friday on the road against LOVC champion Cerro Gordo 81-77.
5. Dana Bose - led Ridgeview to two road wins to conclude the regular season with a 19-9 record
Ridgeview 69 Iroquois West 50 22 points on 9-15 shooting with 4 steals and 3 assists—Ridgeview 62 Tremont 54 21 points on 7-14 shooting 3 steals and 5 rebounds
