Assisting PT Kris Harrison as needed in therapy matters at the Coal City-Diamond clinic in the Champion Fitness Physical Therapy family is Physical Therapist Assistant Casey Turnipseed. This Ottawa High School graduate earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Millikin University in 2005, which allows her to be an exercise specialist and a certified personal trainer. She graduated from BlackHawk College in Moline, IL with a degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Casey, who lives in Braidwood, comes from an extremely active background, ranging from swimming and varsity cheerleading in both high school and college to triathlons and marathon running today. She has competed in the Chicago Marathon three times and has recently become involved in body building. However, she is most proud that she captured the 2008 State Novice Amateur Championship in the Illinois Paint Horse Association. She loves equestrian competitions as evidenced by her two horses she owns, Wyatt (American Paint Horse) and Snazzy (American Quarter Horse), but she also enjoys spending time with Maximus, her Siberian Huskie. She is engaged to be married to Richard Killion in May of 2012.
