
Mick Peterson is part of the Champion Fitness Physical Therapy family after completing a thirty-four career in education, the last nineteen years at Pontiac High School. Many will associate his name as the head coach of the Pontiac Indians football program, which he led for eighteen years. Mick earned a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration with a focus on sports marketing from ISU. He will be asked to manage, direct, and implement numerous strategies and ideas which will enhance the development, communication, image, and culture of Champion Fitness.
Mick lives in Pontiac with his wife Carole and his daughter Emily. Their other children include Katie (Dr. Bryan) Huff in Kansas City, Julie in New York City, and Drew (Jenna) in Carol Stream. He is a staunch Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, and Illini fan who also enjoys golf, travel, theater, and music. He is the Saturday morning deejay on WJEZ-FM (98.9), and he has also written a series of three books, based on his teaching and coaching experiences. His website is www.petecoach.com.
